Onion Brick with Ancho Ketchup

  • 1 Large Onion Sliced Thinly

  • 1 ½ Cups Buttermilk

  • 1 Egg

  • 1 tsp Salt

  • 1TBLS Pepper

  • 2 Cup Bisquick

  • 1 tsp Salt

  • 1 tsp Granulated Garlic

  • 1 tsp Black Pepper fine ground

  • 1 Cup Ketchup

  • 2 tsp Ancho Powder

  • 2 tsp Smoked Siracha

  1. Pre-Heat Fryer to 375 degrees

  2. Add buttermilk, egg, salt and pepper whisk until fully incorporated and onions then soak onions in mix for 30 minutes.

  3. Mix Bisquick, salt, garlic and pepper and mix thoroughly.

  4. Mix Ketchup, ancho powder and siracha together and set aside.

  5. Remove onions from buttermilk and dredge in flour mix and shake excess dredge off, then place in basket of fryer and cook until golden brown.

  6. Remove basket from oil and let sit to remove excess, serve with Ancho Ketchup
