Cowboy Chef Newton & The Mohawk Chef Join Forces for a Pendleton Whisky Pairing Dinner at Oak & Third in Mineral Wells

On Wednesday, May 20th, Cowboy Chef Newton of Newton’s Saddlerack and Chef Stefon Rishel, better known to many as The Mohawk Chef of Oak & Third, are teaming up for an unforgettable evening of bold flavor, handcrafted cocktails, and Pendleton Whisky pairings at The Crazy Water Hotel in Mineral Wells, Texas.
This collaborative dinner brings together two chefs with very different styles, united by one thing: a love for honest food with a little edge and a lot of personality.
The evening is designed to unfold slowly, course by course, pour by pour. Shared tables. Good conversation. Smoke, fire, bourbon, and a dining room full of people who appreciate craftsmanship from the kitchen to the glass.

A Collaboration Built Around Flavor
Guests will enjoy a multi-course dinner featuring specially curated Pendleton Whisky cocktails and pours paired with dishes created exclusively for the event.
The menu walks the line between refined and rugged in the best possible way.
The evening begins with Dr Pepper & Pendleton braised pork belly alongside a grilled peach skewer paired with a Peach Jalapeño Smash, setting the tone right out of the gate.
From there, guests move into a Crawfish & Blue Corn Cake with elote crema and prosciutto wrapped prawn paired with a Pendleton 1920 Old Fashioned, followed by a grilled brassica salad layered with mascarpone mousse and bourbon vinaigrette alongside a Midnight Paper Plane cocktail.
The featured entrée is a Prime Short Rib served with horseradish whipped yukons and black pepper bourbon demi, paired with Pendleton 20 Year served neat. Rich. Bold. Exactly what a whisky dinner should be.
And because nobody should leave a bourbon dinner without dessert, the night closes with white chocolate bread pudding, bourbon caramel, and a Pendleton Espresso Martini.
