Boots, Bottles & Bites: Where California Wine Country Meets Texas Hospitality

An unforgettable evening of exceptional wines, inspired cuisine, and a little Saddlerack swagger.
Some things are simply better together. Boots and blue jeans. Good friends and great conversation. And, of course, exceptional food and a perfectly paired glass of wine.
On Wednesday, October 28, 2026, Newton’s Saddlerack is bringing all of that together for Boots, Bottles & Bites: A Saddlerack x La Lomita Collab, an exclusive wine pairing dinner featuring the distinctive wines of La Lomita’s Islay Hill Estate in California’s beautiful Edna Valley.
This isn’t just another dinner reservation. It’s an invitation to settle in, raise a glass, and experience what happens when California wine country meets the bold, unapologetic flavors of Haute Texas Cuisine.
A Little California. A Lot of Texas.
Great wine deserves exceptional food, and Chef Newton and the Saddlerack culinary team have created an inspired four-course menu designed to bring out the best in both.
Our evening begins with a welcoming splash of La Lomita Albariño, a bright, refreshing introduction to the wines we’ll be exploring.
The first course brings a decidedly Texas attitude to the table: a Chili-Coffee-Rubbed Lamb Lollipop, accompanied by creamy Mixed Mushroom Risotto and finished with a Wild Berry-Mint Demi-Glace. A glass of La Lomita Pinot Noir adds the perfect complement.
Next, we’ll refresh the palate with a beautiful Haricots Verts and Heirloom Tomato Salad, dressed with a white balsamic vinaigrette and accompanied by La Lomita Rosé.
And then comes the main event.
Guests will enjoy their choice of Pan-Seared Duck Breast or Steak Picanha, both prepared with velvety Parsnip Pommes Purée, Charred Broccolini, and a rich Port-Fig Sauce. La Lomita Grenache brings this savory course together beautifully.
Because no extraordinary dinner should end without something sweet, Chef’s finale is a luscious Pumpkin Cheesecake, crowned with Cayenne-Candied Pecans, Caramel and Crème Chantilly, served alongside Texas Pecan Coffee.
A little spice. A little sweetness. And a whole lot to savor.
Come as Guests. Leave as Friends.
One of our favorite things about a great meal is what happens around the table.
For this special evening, we’re embracing a communal seating experience, bringing guests together to share exceptional wines, discover new flavors, and enjoy the kind of conversation that makes an evening truly memorable.
Whether you’re a seasoned wine enthusiast, an adventurous foodie, or simply someone who appreciates a wonderful night out, there’s a place for you at our table.
And because we believe the best evenings shouldn’t be rushed, our bar will open at 4:00 PM for anyone wishing to arrive early and enjoy pre-party cocktails before dinner service begins at 6:30 PM.
